The Materials Centre Leoben Forschung GmbH (MCL) is an authority centre in the area of the material technology (material physics, materials development, material processing - production engineering, application of materials) and concentrates its activities on the following five main points of research: • Bases and Tools for the materials development • Modelling and simulation • Pulvertechnik • Surface technique • Adding technology One of the most substantial characteristics represents here the strong focusing on material-physical, chemical and process engineering bases. Nine research institutes at three different locations educate the core team of the MCL:
Leoben: • Institut for metallurgy and testing of materials, University of Leoben • Institut for mechanics, University of Leoben • Institut for structure and function ceramic(s), Universtity of Leoben • Institut for metal physics, University of Leoben • Laser center Leoben, JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH • Erich Schmidt Schmidt-Institut for material science, Austrian Academy of Science
Graz: • Institut for materials technology, welding engineering and clamping lots formgebungsverfahren, technical Graz University of Technology
Vienna:
• Institut for chemical technology of inorganic materials, Vienna University of Technology |
